Sewerage Services
Dar es Salaam Water and Sewerage Authority of Dar es Salaam (DAWASA) is responsible of providing Water and Sewerage services to the city of Dar es Salaam and part of Coastal Region (Kibaha and Bagamoyo). Sewerage service involves the effective removal of Sewerage in the housing, factories, institutions and various government and private offices. In terms of the Sewerage Services only 10% of city residents are connected in sewerage network. This system is prolonged which was built between the years 1950 - 1970 leading to overstretched and thus stopped frequently due to depreciation. Sewerage system areas of currently-served DAWASA are City center, Kariakoo, Sword, Mikocheni, Regent Estate, Kijitonyama, Buguruni, Pugu road, Tazara, Ubungo, Lugalo, Airwing with Mgulani.

1. Letter from the ward council
2. Application letter addressed to DAWASA branch Office
3. Two Passport size pictures
Then visit the nearest DAWASA office to process your application.

1. Check all faucets, pipes and toilets for leaks.
2. Install water saving showerheads and ultra-low-flush toilets.
3. Take shorter showers.
4. Never use your toilet as a wastebasket.
